Welcome everyone to my Jones'N 4 Travel page! My name is Andie Jones, and I am an independent travel advisor with Be Our Guest Travel Company. I would like to take this post to introduce to myself, my company and share a little bit about what being a travel advisor means.
I grew up in the small town of Sanford, NC and have lived in different areas of North Carolina most of my life. Although my family traveled a little as I was growing up, I didn't really catch the bug until I was 15 years old. The summer between my sophomore and junior years of high school, I was lucky enough to join a group of students from my area of the state on a 21 day trip to Europe. During that trip we visited England, Ireland, Scotland and Whales. Along with sightseeing, we stayed with local families. I became hooked on meeting different people, exploring different cultures and seeing how big the world actually was.
After high school, I attended Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and theater. Upon graduation, I worked in the education field for seven years both as a classroom teacher and as a traveling performing artist. My husband, Tim and I were married in 2008 and welcomed our first daughter in 2010. It was then that I decided to exit the field of education and enter a new field that held a passion of mine, the culinary arts.
After graduating as Valedictorian of the Art Institute in Charlotte, I decided my passion for cooking and my passion for travel needed to mix. With my husband and daughter along for support, I spent three months studying pâtisseries on the southern coast of France and another month interning in a bakery in Paris. I had such an amazing time learning all about the French culture, their food and wine as well as sharing my American culture with them. I couldn't believe it when a highly decorated French Pastry Chef wanted nothing more than MY chocolate chip cookie recipe!
Since returning to the states in early 2014, I have had the pleasure of traveling many places both professionally and personally. My most memorable trips to date include a trip to Australia when I graduated from high school, traveling multiple times back to Ireland with my family and, top pick, traveling on a Mediterranean cruise with members of my church which retraced the Apostle Pauls' second mission. I have made it a goal of mine to visit every continent in the world.
Earlier this year, I decided to expand my horizons again. I LOVE to plan trips and travel for my family and wanted to know more about what being a travel advisor was all about. I reached out to a college sorority sister of mine, Krissy Yoder, who founded Be Our Guest Travel Company. Locally owned a women operated, Be Our Guest Travel Company specializes in concierge-level vacation planning for families, couples, military families, groups, and for those with special needs and food allergies. Joining this team seemed like the best way to utilize all my talents together.
This amazing team of women (and man) have been the best group of people to work with. I have enjoyed every minute of getting to know them, training with them, learning with them and planning beside them. I take pride in working with each of my clients, keeping their needs in mind as I would my own family!
I currently live just outside of Raleigh, NC. Tim and I have three girls, all who love to travel. I specialize in couple and family vacations, giving those core memories that will last a lifetime instead of the "stuff" easily forgotten. I am also knowledgeable in what it means to travel with people of special needs or dietary concerns. The best part?? My services are complementary with most vacation packages. That means, it costs you no more to have an expert in your corner assisting with a the "stressful" things that often come with travel. I make plans based on what YOU want, stay on hold so YOU don't have to, problem solve should something come up and so much more. I am there with you your entire trip from our first phone call until the time you get home. No detail overlooked. I hope you follow along and enjoy all the good things to come! I would be absolutely privileged to help you and your family check off those bucket list items on your next great adventure!
